You will be employed directly by us which means that you will receive holiday entitlements and Worksave pension contributions.

The care hours you work for us are flexible giving you time to study, have another part-time role or look after children and family.

Faith’s care story

Faith joined Castlemeadow Care in August 2021. She had trained and worked as a hairdresser and had no previous care qualifications before she joined our team at St John’s House, Norwich. Her people skills were the only qualification she needed to join our team.

We are so proud of Faith. She has been recognised for multiple awards, including the Rising Star Award at the Norfolk Care Awards. Her ambition is to be a Registered Manager and run a care home.

Norfolk Care Careers

Chris joined St John’s House as Head Chef in June 2018 after 29 years working in restaurants.

He has been a regional finalist in both the Southeast and Midlands cook-offs, representing his region with great skill and dedication. Chris went on to win the Southeast Regional Cook-Off, earning a place in the National Finals, where he achieved outstanding recognition by winning the prestigious Health and Hygiene Award in 2023.

This competition is organised by the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), a respected organisation with royal endorsement.

Studying

Studying for Care Qualifications

Working in care can provide you with a rewarding career path working in both adult social care and in more specialised services.

Studying for the Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care is a qualification you may wish to consider if you are looking to advance your career with us.

If your goal is to be the Registered Manager of a Care Home, a QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care and Children and Young People Services is your goal.

The Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care is the equivalent of a GCSE and consists of practical and e-learning lessons which apply to your every day role as a care assistant. It is a qualification that Castlemeadow Care will fund.

Find out more about Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care from Skills for Care and learn how you can have a career in care.
