Residential Care

Residential care is also known as Personal Care and Assisted Living.

This service is designed to provide support with daily activities which have started to become difficult to manage safely at home or there may be concerns about an ability to cope independently. A GP, or other professional, may be recommending moving into a care home environment. There may have been incidents at home, such as a fall.

In a residential care environment, care teams will provide assistance with intimate care such as washing and dressing, ensuring medication is taken correctly and supporting with mobility challenges.

Many Castlemeadow residents choose to live with us simply because they no longer want to live alone or wish to shoulder the burden of maintaining their own home.

Every Castlemeadow Care home offers personal care which is unique for every resident. An assessment will look at the type of help and support you require each day from our highly trained care teams. Care will be unique to your needs.

We will create a personalised care plan for you based on our care assessment. We will discuss and review your care plan regularly with you to ensure that we exceed your expectations.

The care assessment and the type of room you would like to determine the weekly cost you will pay for your care. There are two ways you can pay for your care:

• Self-funding – this means that you meet 100% of the weekly cost.
• Local Authority funded – this means Social Services will meet the cost of your care up to an agreed amount. This will not cover the full weekly cost.
