Types of care service:

The care we provide is unique to the health requirements of every person and is assessed carefully prior to someone moving into one of our homes.

Our care homes offer four principal types of care service: respite or short stay, residential care or assisted living, residential dementia care and nursing care. We also provide optional homecare, also known as domicilary care exclusively for our Woodgate Park village community.

Respite Care

Whether residents need time to recover after an illness or hospital stay, or family carers need a well-earned break, our respite care offers a welcoming place to rest and recharge.

During their stay, residents enjoy the same personalised care, meals, activities and companionship as our long-term residents, with a warm welcome and time to settle in at their own pace. Short stays can also be a lovely way to experience life at a Castlemeadow Care home before making a longer-term decision.

Our minimum respite stay is one week.

  • All care and support are covered by our weekly fee.
  • This fee will vary by the level of care required daily, the type of room you choose and your preferred Castlemeadow Care home.
  • Respite, or short stay care is for a minimum of one week at your preferred Castlemeadow Care home.
  • Our fees are transparent and will be explained in detail by our care advisors.
  • We do offer Local Authority places subject to the agreed weekly cost being paid.
  • Local Authorities will not pay the full weekly cost of your care.

Residential Care

Our residential care offers a warm, welcoming home for those who would benefit from a little extra support with everyday life.

Whether it’s help with personal care, getting dressed, managing medication or moving around safely, our dedicated care teams are always close by to provide personalised support, while encouraging residents to maintain their independence wherever possible.

Beyond practical care, residents can enjoy the comfort of their own ensuite bedroom, welcoming communal spaces, delicious meals, engaging activities and the companionship of a friendly community.

For many, residential care is also about enjoying peace of mind, knowing that help is always at hand, without the responsibilities of maintaining a home or living alone.

Every Castlemeadow Care home offers personal care which is unique for every resident. An assessment will look at the type of help and support you require each day from our highly trained care teams. Care will be unique to your needs.

We will create a personalised care plan for you based on our care assessment. We will discuss and review your care plan regularly with you to ensure that we exceed your expectations.

The care assessment and the type of room you would like to determine the weekly cost you will pay for your care. There are two ways you can pay for your care:

• Self-funding – this means that you meet 100% of the weekly cost.
• Local Authority funded – this means Social Services will meet the cost of your care up to an agreed amount. This will not cover the full weekly cost.

Residential Dementia Care

Residential dementia care provides a calm, supportive and welcoming environment for residents living with mild to moderate dementia, with personalised care centred around their individual needs.

Our compassionate care teams take the time to understand each resident, their life story, routines and preferences; helping them feel safe, recognised, and at ease. With patience, kindness and familiar routines, we aim to create a sense of comfort, confidence and belonging.

Castlemeadow care homes offer comfortable, thoughtfully designed spaces that help residents feel settled and supported, while encouraging independence wherever possible. Through meaningful activities, companionship and everyday connections, we support residents in enjoying a fulfilling quality of life.

We also understand that moving into dementia care can be an emotional decision for families, which is why we’re committed to offering reassurance, guidance and support throughout the transition.

Our dementia care ensures every resident living with dementia can benefit from a bespoke support programme to help them to recall memories, life experiences and family times and to continue to live an active and fulfilling life.

Castlemeadow homes provide dedicated memory care suites which have been designed to provide tranquil and accessible environments for the people we care for who are living with dementia.

Our dedicated memory care suites provide a normalising, non-stigmatising, and homely environment for all of our dementia residents.

Nursing Care

Nursing care provides round-the-clock, nurse-led specialist support for residents with complex health conditions.

We aim to help every resident enjoy the highest possible quality of life, with personalised care that is calm, reassuring and centred around their individual needs.

What is nursing care?

Nursing care, also known as nurse-led care, provides support for residents with complex health needs that can no longer be safely managed at home or within a residential care environment. Many residents who require nursing care have multiple long-term health conditions that need a higher level of specialist support. This may include complex medication management, wound care and palliative care.

Nursing-led care requires qualified, experienced registered nurses to be available on-site 24 hours a day, providing specialist support and reassurance whenever it’s needed.

The key difference between nursing care and residential care, including residential dementia care, is the requirement for a registered nurse to be on-site to manage more severe, complex or multiple health conditions. Other long-term conditions, such as osteoarthritis, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, can often be managed by our experienced residential care teams, with support from community nursing.

At Castlemeadow Care, we believe that every resident deserves to enjoy as happy, comfortable and social a life as their health allows. From everyday personal care, including support with eating, drinking, washing and dressing, to more complex care administered by registered nurses, our approach always puts the individual first.

Nursing care is currently available at Lincoln House, where our experienced team provides compassionate, specialist support for residents and their families.

About our private homecare service

Woodgate Park residents have an exclusive and optional private on-site homecare service available 24 x7. Homecare, or domiciliary care, supports an individual who can live safely and well in their own homes but who may need some extra help with their personal daily care to wash and dress, to prepare a meal or to support with some mobility challenges.

What is homecare?

Woodgate Park Village is proud to offer an exclusive and optional homecare or domicilary care service for village residents.

Inspected and rated by the CQC as Good, our excellent homecare team can provide a helping hand for personal and household tasks which may be proving  difficult or for which extra help is required.

Our homecare service is designed to ensure that our Woodgate Park Village residents can continue to live independently and safely in their own home.

Examples of the support we provide includes:

  • Help getting up in the morning
  • Personal care with washing and dressing
  • Meal preparation
  • Collecting prescriptions and overseeing medicines
  • Doing the weekly shop
  • General companionship

Homecare is a paid for service. Our professionally trained carers will visit once or twice per day, usually for 30 minutes. However, the duration and frequency of visits is bespoke for the type of support and help you may require.
