NORWICH, NORFOLK

Proudly Serving the Norwich, Norfolk Community

Situated near the heart of Norfolk lies the beautiful cathedral city of Norwich. Designated as a county town by the United Kingdom, this area is an important location for both administrative and judicial branches. Due to its importance to the UK government, Norwich is also known for being East Anglia's traditional capital, a fact reflected in its splendid Norman cathedral, its many medieval castles and buildings as well as the city's many other historic points of interest. While the original origins of the city have fallen outside historical records, Norwich takes its name from Northwic (“North Farm”), given by the Angolo-Saxons between the 5th and 7th centuries. From the 10th century onward, Norwich became the centre point for commerce with many travelling to the large city in search of trade and job opportunities.

Today, the city is home to over 144,000 people (8.7% increase from 2011) according the 2021 United Kingdom Census. While the city itself showcases reminders of the olden days, recent developments have brought sections of the city into the modern era. There are many small independent shops, local restaurants, beautiful parks, and other recreational centres within a short distance of each other making it the perfect place to visit, live and explore.
