40hrs per week - shifts between 7am to 6pm, including alternate weekends
We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to join our hardworking team at Wyndham House care home in Kings Lynn. Our kitchen team are passionate about our residents getting the best quality food, tailored to their tastes.
You will be interested in a rewarding career, ideally with experience in managing and developing a quality catering service for up to 40 residents, guests, and visitors. Key Responsibilities of the Catering Manager:
• Prepare and cook daily meals, home baked products will be made in house should be available for residents and visitors to the home.
• Ensure the attractive presentation of all meals.
• To support the well-being team with food related activities and planed events.
• To develop a portfolio of evidence to showcase the impact the catering department has on the residents using the service.
• Manage a small department team and provide mentorship, instruction and demonstration to develop staff within their role.
• To act as point of contact to all internal and external suppliers/contractors and ensure site security is maintained in line with company policies.
• Assist in ordering of supplies and keeping stock secure, storing appropriately and avoiding unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs.
• To ensure rota management is consistently fair with a 2-week rolling rota.
• Operate a safe, professional, and cost-effective catering service whilst always complying with all statutory and budget requirements.
• Work in accordance with our food standards, allowing for allergen issues, dietary requirements, ensuring full adherence to recipes.
• To provide supervisions and appraisals for staff in line with company policy.
• To facilitate department meetings.
